It's Been a Looooooong Time!

I view my blog as our families journal - and yep just like I have never done so well in other journal endeavors in the past, this journal of sorts has also gone untouched for several months. And since not too many of my New Years Resolutions actually got started in January - maybe the middle of February is a good place for me to try some resolutions like journal keeping, eating better, exercising, blah, blah, blah. So here is a quick catch up:

Halloween!
costume cost: $0.00 - every one of the kiddos came up with their own costume from the dress up box!

Even Shelbs Trick-or-Treated! She did get a few strange looks - and we did tell her this was absolutely the last year to Trick-or-Treat since next Halloween she will be an official ADULT!

NOVEMBER RECAP:

Football came to an end
Dawson's team didn't quite make the playoffs
Ryan's team made the playoffs, but lost in the first round
and Nathan's Team - They won the Championship!!!!! - It was a fun day in lots of Snow!
Shelby danced at Rice Eccles Stadium during State Football Playoffs
And Thanksgiving was at Jamon and Laura's this year with our traditional Football game played in the beautiful sunshine! - check out Shelby, it took TWO Uncles to try and stop her during the game - go Shelbs!

DECEMBER RECAP:

Christmas Parties! Visiting with Santa, and talent shows by the kids - I am sure everyone would appreciate it if the Erasmus' took the talent part a little more serious but it is funny! - Ryan rapped, Shelbs did Headstands, Nick sang, and Shelby and Nathan sang a song that names all the countries in the world.

JANUARY RECAP:

Our Form of European Sauna: Lots of cute boys in a very hot Hot Tub - Jump out and roll around in the snow as long as you can - Back to the Hot Tub - ahhh feels good!

Nathan Performed in a Play "The Shakiest Dress in the West" - it was pretty funny

Drill Team Regional Competition - Shelbs did her very best, but in the end they missed going to state by one point and felt the agony of defeat pretty hard.

OOPS! - How could I forget We now have a 3rd Adult living in our home - this beautiful creature turned 18!!! - yikes we are old!

FEBRUARY SO FAR:

Shelby went to The Sweethearts Dance with Skyler

We went sledding - tried a "train" - ended up flipping me and Nick upside down going pretty fast - We survived!

Gave my Dear Friend a Shower for #7! - and in the end she gave me a big basket full of some of my favorite things! to say thanks - see why she is my Dear Friend!!
