EAGLE PROJECT

Wow, we have had one busy week. Big E finally got his approval for his Eagle Project from the Regional Scout guy (a.k.a. a member of our Stake Presidency) and we were under the gun to get it done. The sister that was willing to take all the shirts to Guatemala for us was flying out TODAY - whew we barely made it! Big E had a great response. From Wednesday, when we passed out fliers to surrounding neighborhoods and sent them to family via the Internet, to Saturday when we did our final collection (4 days!) He collected 4 new shirts, 8 gently worn shirts and $720.00! (a shout out to my sis Jen in Idaho who contributed - thank you, thank you - that was very nice of you, especially with such short notice and to be able to get it to us on time) Big E was able to purchase 61 short sleeve white shirts (We cleaned out 5 Wal-Mart's in the Salt Lake Valley!) for native missionaries in Guatemala. That should be able to help quite a few of them. We are so proud of Big E, he has become such a great young man. Last night at football practice his coach pulled Leon aside and praised Big E for being so respectful, doing what he was told, not complaining, especially when he had to do 100 up-downs (if you don't know what that is it is not fun, believe me I can do about 10 at the most) and for being a good team member - It is always nice to hear good things about your kids but this was especially sweet. Big E has had his share of, well lets just say rough spots, and this mama has spent many hours on her knees pleading for help with raising this wonderful boy, it just goes to show everyone grows and develops at their own pace and we couldn't be happier with how Big E is turning out - We love you E.

That's a lot of shirts!

The Delivery!

Thanks Quinn for this great project!

We Love you Big E
