This Sunday started off like usual with my 8:00 am PEC meeting, Then I hurried and got out the hot off the copy machine Ward Recipe Books from the RS closet so they would be ready to handout during church (Each book had 150 pages of recipes - now that was a lot of copying this week, thank goodness my bff was superwoman and typed and typed and typed Monday and Tuesday and the whole RS presidency helped copy, your all the best!). Hurry home and start dinner, Play Referee between Ry-Guy and Dawson. Help everyone get ready for church - making sure the boys look especially nice since it is the Primary Program. Play Referee again, this time between Big E and Dawson. Entertain Nickster during Sacrament meeting while simultaneously trying to catch Dawson's eye to let him know his behavior on the stand was less than impressive. Help handout Recipe Books. Conduct Relief Society, giving out the wrong dates for upcoming events and forgetting to announce the other events (I totally am lame at conducting). Have a quick (o.k. not so quick) meeting with my RS girls following RS. Hurry home and get dinner on the table. Have Dawson announce that he is not sitting by the "Yelling-Machine" (Big Daddy) during dinner.Playing Referee yet once again with Dawson and well basically everyone in the house. Comforting a daughter that was sure every single girl she knows has been asked to the Homecoming dance except for her. Cleaning up from a large Sunday meal. Husking and boiling the 25+ ears of corn Papa Joe dropped off at our house over the last week and freezing them (o.k. that may not be an approved Sunday activity but I am calling it food storage which if you stretch can be a possible Sunday discussion/activity). Helping with Homework (another questionable Sunday activity). Gathering everyone together for Family Prayer. Yes you guessed it, playing Referee with Dawson one more time. Silently saying my own prayer that we can PLEASE have more peace in our home and that Shelbs can PLEASE get asked to Homecoming. Just as we all said Amen at the close of Big E's prayer the doorbell rang, no one was at the door but our yard and one of the trees was covered in cut out stars with an invitation for Shelbs to go to the Homecoming Dance. Dawson was so excited for her he couldn't have been sweeter. Yes it may not have been a restful Sunday but thank goodness for tender mercies sent our way.

Of course, you know I feel your pain from the Sunday shenanigans--still have a headache lingering from last week. hehe
Dawson is so hilarious--I am totally stealing 'yelling machine' for our yelling machine (which is usually me -- but sometimes not).
Yay! for SHELLS! How did she answer him back?
Congrats, Shelbs! Who's the lucky guy? Promise us lots of pics. Would have loved to have seen Dawson's Primary program---but probably camera's would have not been appropriate for Sacrament meeting! You make me dizzy Mary---okay, I'm definitely not busy! I will not complain again! Love you!
